Plot summary
Donna Peyton is ten when her father, an industrialist, dies and leaves her thirty million dollars. His will adds one requirement: she has to choose one of her six uncles to take his place as her father. Willard Woodward, the chauffeur, drives her from one uncle to the next, two weeks with each. James Peyton, the oldest brother, captains a ferryboat. Everett Peyton is a famous circus clown who dislikes children and lives in Switzerland to avoid taxes. Julius Peyton takes photographs of female models. Captain Edward Peyton flies a single-plane airline out of Los Angeles. Skylock Peyton is a detective fond of tea, with Dr. Matson as his companion. Bugsy Peyton is a gangster.
