Deputy Director Pamela Landy finds the print and questions Section Chief Ward Abbott about Treadstone, the closed program Bourne once belonged to. Bourne, meanwhile, has spent two years in exile in Goa with Marie Kreutz, unable to recall his past and writing down what comes back to him. Gretkov sends Kirill to Goa, and Bourne and Marie flee.
