Ladder 49 (2004) on Netflix

Plot summary

Fresh from the fire academy, Jack Morrison is sent to Engine Company 33, the busiest firehouse in Baltimore, which shares its quarters with Ladder Company 49. Captain Mike Kennedy, his mentor, shows him the work, and Jack grows close to the firefighters around him. His first fire takes him into a burning vacant rowhouse, where he and Mike enter with a hose line and put the blaze out. He meets Linda, who becomes his wife, and they raise children while the sacrifices the job demands weigh on the household. A grain warehouse blaze leaves Jack trapped inside, and Mike, now Deputy Chief, coordinates the effort to reach him.
