Plot summary
In a Los Angeles where people and talking animals live side by side, Mr. Wolf leads a gang of thieves: his best friend Mr. Snake, the hacker Ms. Tarantula, the disguise expert Mr. Shark and the excitable Mr. Piranha. After a robbery and a police chase, Governor Diane Foxington mocks the crew on television as predictable, so Mr. Wolf aims at the Golden Dolphin, an award meant for Professor Rupert Marmalade IV, the guinea pig philanthropist who helped rebuild the city after a meteorite impact. At the ceremony, Mr. Wolf inadvertently aids an elderly woman and feels a sense of accomplishment; his divided feelings delay the escape, and the police arrest the gang. To avoid prison, Mr. Wolf talks Diane into letting Marmalade try to reform them.
