Plot summary
Reeves and Karlsson rejoin their squad in a forest, where commanding officer Smith has two hooded captives and a badly wounded Capper to move. Evans reports a farm and a jeep nearby, and Smith sends the group to investigate. Karlsson sedates Capper and the increasingly erratic Evans while the others search the farm. A woman found in a storage container is sedated and brought along on Smith's orders. A flare signals an enemy advance, and the mercenaries fall back across a field until they reach an abandoned Bulldog armored vehicle and pile inside. Attackers try the door, which Gantz jams, and Karlsson hands out tranquilizers. Searching the vehicle, the squad finds bottles of an orange powder labeled Kratos, and Annabella, a captive who claims to be a teacher, explains the word means strength and power in ancient Greek.

- Director Nick Gillespie said the film was not meant to be deeply political, but he used imagery recalling the Abu Ghraib prison scandal to subvert expectations about the captives; revealing them to be young women was meant to signal that something was "not quite right there".
- Although the film is called Tank 432, the vehicle is not a tank: it is a Type 432 armored personnel carrier, used to deploy infantry, which the British Army knew as the Bulldog, giving the film its alternative title, Belly of the Bulldog.
