Seven short stories, six in some versions, are told one after another. One follows a little man who waits each night for his beautiful neighbor to return. Elsewhere a man comes to in an apartment emptied of furniture, with only his cell phone, his jacket and a hangover; his wife, at home with three children, leaves a message that the marriage is over, and a young woman he has never met walks through the door.
