Matchstick Men (2003) on Netflix

Plot summary

Roy Waller earns his living selling cut-rate water filters at many times their worth to strangers around Los Angeles, working short cons with his partner Frank Mercer. His obsessive habits now interfere with the work, and when his medication runs out and the doctor who supplied it has left town, Frank urges him to see a psychiatrist, Dr. Klein. In therapy Roy speaks of Heather, the ex-wife who was pregnant when they divorced, and Klein places a call for him. The answer comes back that Roy has a daughter, Angela, who is 14 and would like to meet him. She turns up at his house, stays for a weekend, and takes an interest in how her father makes his money. Frank, meanwhile, wants Roy's help on a larger score against a businessman named Chuck Frechette.
