Plot summary
In a world of anthropomorphic shoes, Edson, a high school basketball player, wins an exclusive pair of sneakers: Maxine, who cannot wait to be worn in his next game, and Ty, who prefers to stay untouched in his box. The Collector, a high-profile sneaker collector, is frustrated by the loss, gets into Edson's house and takes the two of them. During the escape Ty drops from the shoebox and ends up on a wire, and his cries bring JB, an old abandoned sneaker, who decides to help once he sees that Ty is a luxury model. The Collector answers to the Forger, who makes counterfeit shoes and intends to use Ty and Maxine to produce more of them; when he realizes Ty is missing, he asks for more time and goes looking for him.
