Plot summary
Rose Corley commands the human fleet against the Harvesters, the aliens who invaded Earth. When the fleet breaks through enemy lines, she destroys the Harvester mother ship, and thousands die. Guilt drives her into hiding while humanity rebuilds alongside the Pilots, the hybrid alien-humans. Five years later a virus strikes the Pilots, eating them alive and returning them to a brainwashed state. Resistance forces searching for Rose capture her, and General Radford asks her to join a mission to Cobalt One, the Harvester homeworld, to recover the Armada's core drive.
