Plot summary
In the future, a new bioweapon is being developed. Ryan Reeve, a traumatized ex-soldier, wakes beside Alex, a tied-up young boy, in the back of a moving van, and the boy takes him for his kidnapper. Reeve has no memory of him, and his watch shows that six months have passed since he was at a facility being treated for PTSD. After he frees Alex, his awareness cuts out and returns in a room with Harkin Langham, who mistakes him for someone else. Reeve's consciousness now comes in bursts of nine minutes and forty-seven seconds before his body is taken over again. He meets Dana, who says she is the property of a gangster named Sergio, and he offers to free her if she helps him work out what is happening.
