Plot summary
A squad of US soldiers goes deep into the mountains of Afghanistan to recover a top secret package. The soldiers recover in a military hospital at home, unable to remember what they did there or who they are. In time, pieces of the operation return to them: apparitions in the mountains, and readings of a powerful electromagnetic energy coming from an unearthly source. Major John Cafferty, the squad's leader, remembers no more about the mission than his men do. The squad has to work out how it was sent to Afghanistan to begin with, and what the mission was really for.
