Plot summary
Alan Daniel is an expectant father whose mind keeps drifting from his job, and his boss Linda is annoyed that he asks about paternity leave rather than the partnership she has in mind for him. When the obstetrician at his wife Marie's scan requests a family medical history, Alan has nothing to give, since he was surrendered at birth. With help from his wife's father, a judge who disapproves, he gets the sealed adoption file opened and learns his birth mother's name and address. At that address Russell comes to the door, a man with the same birthday who had no idea he had a twin. The two find a clipping stashed in a vent: their mother had six children at once. Russell goes along with Alan on a drive to locate the rest before the baby comes.
