Plot summary
Scooby-Doo, a talking Great Dane, finds no takers at a pet adoption fair in Coolsville, Ohio. Left behind when his crate falls off a truck, he comes across a graveyard, sees two ghosts rise from their graves and runs until he reaches the bedroom of Norville Rogers, known as Shaggy, who adopts him. Smuggling Scooby onto the school bus, Shaggy is caught in a fight that sends the bus into a flagpole and damages Vice Principal Grimes' car, earning him detention with Fred, Velma and Daphne. Ghosts appear in the library and chase the four to a pep rally, where a cloaked figure called the Specter orders everyone out. Grimes calls the haunting a prank and suspends them, so they set out to clear their names.
