Plot summary
Cuthbert Crawley, a lawyer handling family matters, tells Velma she has inherited her great-uncle's castle in the Pennsylvania town of Transylvania. She declines the place at his office, saying she wants no part of her relative, which leaves her friends baffled. Crawley accepts the refusal but adds that a curse covers the property and that anyone it catches loses whatever is most precious to them. On the way out, a figure in an iron mask wrecks the Mystery Machine and leaves a warning against the journey. Fred says the gang will travel there anyway to catch whoever is responsible.
