Plot summary
Daphne Blake is asked by Goha Aloha, a surf-and-beachwear company, to design new swimwear, and the company gives Mystery Inc a free trip to Hawaii. In Hanahuna, the gang meets Jared Moon, the company's representative, and hears about the Big Kahuna of Hanahuna surfing contest. Mayor Molly Quinn has opened the contest to mainlanders, which local surfer Manu Tuiama and his friend Little Jim oppose. Manu says the ancient Wiki Tiki spirit is angry: its demons have attacked the village, and his girlfriend Snookie has been taken. Manu also blames real estate agent Ruben Laluna for building a residential complex on sacred ground. The gang sets out to find who or what is behind the Wiki Tiki and the demons.
