Plot summary
Charlie Sanders' three children are found in a cabin in the Humboldt County woods by Ja'Marcus and D'Andre, who turn them in for a reward, and the children spend months at a child development research center. Dan Sanders, Charlie's estranged brother, and his wife Jody bring them home, on the condition that the family moves into a large suburban house fitted with security cameras. Jody is reluctant at first but adapts, auditioning for a ballet performance of Swan Lake and winning the lead. Bizarre paranormal events in the house push the couple to look into what is causing them, while Maria, the live-in housekeeper, tries one ritual after another to drive the spirits out. Dan works at a primate intelligence research facility, where the chimpanzee Caesar is smarter than he is.
