Travis Fimmel
Biography
Travis Fimmel, born in Echuca, Victoria, and raised in Lockington, is an Australian actor who started with music videos for Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez in 2001. After studying under Hollywood coach Ivana Chubbuck, he took the title role in the WB series Tarzan in 2003. He then appeared in early films including Restraint (2008) and The Experiment (2010). His breakout came as Ragnar Lothbrok in the drama series Vikings, a role he played across four seasons. He went on to star as Anduin Lothar in Warcraft (2016) and to appear in Maggie's Plan (2015) and Lean on Pete (2018). In television, his performance in Raised by Wolves earned a Critics' Choice Super Awards nomination, and his lead role in Black Snow brought an AACTA nomination plus a directing credit on the second season. He was named GQ Australia's Actor of the Year in 2017 and played Desmond Hart in Dune: Prophecy.

Early training
Fimmel trained with Ivana Chubbuck, a Hollywood acting coach for stars like Brad Pitt and Jared Leto. It took him two years to summon the nerve to try out for his first role.
