Plot summary
Steve Addington is a surfer at the top of his sport, getting by on endorsement deals for surfboards and trunks that pay him in cash. In Malibu, Eddie Zarno, a surfer who went into business, has taken over that arrangement and now wants Steve to perform his moves for a virtual reality game. Steve would rather just be in the water. Zarno keeps pushing for a signature, and then the Pacific goes still, with no waves for days. Steve has feelings for Danni, whom Zarno has just let go, the flat water wears on him, and his money is running low.
