Plot summary
Aunt Ella sends Bobbie off to Nashville with a locket holding her mother's picture, a hundred dollar bill and three rules: never lie, always be fair, never break a promise. Her voice is a gift from three angels in heaven, and the rules are what holds it. Bobbie wants to make a career of singing. In Nashville she finds work at a sushi restaurant run by Morita, who is sure that anyone chasing a music career will not work hard for him. The other employees are musicians too, playing in a band called The Rising Sons, and Bobbie joins them. The band talks Morita into managing them, and a promoter who eats there often gives them an audition.
