Plot summary
Ron has killed the owner of the strip club where Dale worked, and the two of them are fleeing the police. An attendant at a gas station sees the body in their trunk, and they kill him too. They come upon a large country estate and decide to hide there until the search dies down, and Ron takes its owner, Andrew, an agoraphobic art dealer, hostage. Ron threatens and abuses him, and Dale puts herself between the two men. Andrew is wealthy and offers them forty thousand dollars and jewelry to speed them on their way, but somebody has to collect the money at the bank. He suggests that Dale go, made up to look like Gabrielle, the woman he had been engaged to and who had gone away six months before. Dale drives to town in that disguise.
