Tara Reid
Biography
Tara Reid is an American actress who began performing at age six in commercials and on the game show Child's Play before moving into Hollywood films in the late 1990s. Born in Wyckoff, New Jersey, she had an early role in The Big Lebowski (1998) and a larger one in Urban Legend (1998) the same year. She broke through as Vickie in American Pie (1999), returning for American Pie 2 (2001) and American Reunion (2012), and appeared in Cruel Intentions (1999), Dr. T and the Women (2000), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Van Wilder (2002) and My Boss's Daughter (2003), the last earning her Razzie nominations. On television she had recurring roles on Days of Our Lives and Scrubs, hosted the E! series Taradise, and played April Wexler in the Sharknado films from 2013 to 2018.

At six years old, Reid started her acting career. She was seen on the game show Child's Play and in commercials for Jell-O, McDonald's, Crayola and Milton Bradley.
Big break
Reid found mainstream success playing the virginal Vickie in American Pie (1999), a film that took in more than $100 million in the United States and became the first of her movies to hit number one at the box office.
Getting ready for a role
In 2005, Reid appeared with Christian Slater in Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark. Her mispronunciation of "Newfoundland" in that film turned into a popular Internet catchphrase.
