Richard Lawson
Biography
Richard Lawson, born Rickey Lee Lawson in Loma Linda, California, in 1947, is an American actor whose film and television career has mixed genre pictures with long-running serial roles. He began acting and made an uncredited feature debut in Dirty Harry (1971). He played Willis in Scream Blacula Scream (1973), appeared in The Main Event (1979) and Streets of Fire (1984) as Officer Ed Price, and became widely recognized for Ryan in Poltergeist (1982) and Dr. Ben Taylor in the NBC miniseries V (1983). On television, he had an ongoing role in the Australian drama Hotel Story in 1977 and later starred in Chicago Story; he played Nick Kimball on Dynasty from 1986 to 1987, Detective Nathaniel Hawthorne on The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd from 1989 to 1991, and Lucas Barnes on All My Children from 1992 to 1994. He has also made many guest appearances.
