Plot summary
Langston, a nightclub owner in Houston, is killed by mob boss Morgan and his men after he refuses to sell the club to Morgan. Diana "Sugar" Hill, a photographer and Langston's girlfriend, wants revenge, so she goes to Mama Maitresse, a former voodoo queen. Mama Maitresse summons Baron Samedi, the voodoo lord of the dead, and he sends his zombie army after the men responsible for Langston's death, who also want the club. Sugar's former boyfriend, police Lt. Valentine, looks into the killings. The zombies are said to be preserved corpses of slaves that were shipped from Guinea to the United States.
