Plot summary
Mama Loa, a voodoo queen, dies, and her cult votes for her adopted apprentice Lisa Fortier to lead them instead of her arrogant son Willis. Willis buys the bones of the African prince Mamuwalde, known as the vampire Blacula, from Ragman, a former shaman of the cult, and uses voodoo to bring him back and make him obey. The rite raises Mamuwalde, who bites Willis at once, so that Willis becomes a vampire bound to the creature he meant to command. Lisa's boyfriend Justin Carter, a former police officer who collects African antiquities and studies the occult, looks into the deaths that follow.
