Plot summary
Ava goes home with her husband Dallas for his oldest brother's funeral. At the service, her father Clarence, a local preacher, upsets Dallas's mother Linda, and the families argue. Ava stays at the church to talk with her parents and friend Rona about her difficult marriage. She later asks Dallas to return to Atlanta with her, but he refuses and tells her to leave. That evening, he goes to dinner without her and announces to their friends that he wants a divorce. Ava still hopes to save the marriage.
