Plot summary
At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Phil Schreiber moves his wife Rosie and their son Max from New York to the Hamptons, where he works from home on video calls while Max, anxious about the virus, uses Instagram to get a girl named Annie to notice him. One night Charlie, Phil's college roommate, appears at the house, says he found Phil's wallet, and demands to be allowed to stay, reminding Phil of something Rosie does not know. Phil gives him a room with a designated area. Charlie smokes weed and gets friendly with the neighbor Emma, and Max, caught snooping in Charlie's room, asks him how he talks to Emma so easily.
