Big break
Klementieff made her Hollywood debut in Spike Lee's Oldboy (2013), playing Haeng-bok, a bodyguard. She took boxing lessons once she knew the part involved martial arts, and after showing her skills at the audition, Lee told her to return in a more feminine outfit and make-up.
Getting ready for a role
Klementieff chose the name Haeng-bok for the character herself. She picked it after Lee told her to look into possible names, and in Korean it means happiness.
Getting ready for a role
Klementieff gave some of her own clothes to her character's wardrobe. For a fight scene with Josh Brolin, she trained three hours daily across two months.
