Plot summary
After a stint in a recovery facility, Ingrid Thorburn comes home to Pennsylvania. She was treated there after she pepper-sprayed an influencer she followed online at the woman's wedding. A magazine article about Taylor Sloane, a Los Angeles influencer, catches her attention, and she writes a reply beneath something Taylor posted. Taylor answers her. Ingrid takes the money her mother left her and moves to Los Angeles, where she rents a house from Dan Pinto, a screenwriter and Batman enthusiast. She hunts out the places Taylor likes to visit and changes her look to match Taylor's, hoping to meet her. She spots Taylor in a bookstore but is too nervous to say anything.
