Plot summary

Maya Ben Latif lives in Paris, where she works as a stylist for a French fashion house and counts among the fashion world's it girls. One night she is stopped for speeding, and the check shows that her visa has expired. Within twenty-four hours she is deported to Morocco, her family's original country, and back among relatives she has avoided for many years. The cultural shock and the judgmental differences she meets push her to win back her place in Paris and her dreams, whatever the cost. On her way back to the city, she does not have to travel alone.
