Michelle Krusiec
Biography
Michelle Krusiec is an American actress, writer and producer who was born in Taiwan, raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and trained in theater at Virginia Tech before studying Shakespeare at Oxford on a scholarship. She began on screen as one of the travel reporters on the Discovery Channel series Travelers in 1996, then moved into television with roles on One World, Popular and Dirty Sexy Money, later appearing on Fringe as Nadine Park and voicing characters on American Dad!. Her film work includes Saving Face (2004), which brought her a Golden Horse Best Actress nomination, along with What Happens in Vegas (2008), Far North (2007), Dumb and Dumberer (2003), Take Me Home (2011) and The River Murders (2011), and in 2020 she played Anna May Wong in the Netflix series Hollywood. On stage she wrote, directed and performed the one-woman show Made in Taiwan and toured in David Henry Hwang's Chinglish.

Behind the camera
Krusiec's one-woman show, "Made in Taiwan," which she wrote, directed and performed, first appeared in Los Angeles and at the New York International Fringe Festival of Theater. Visual Communications funded her to turn the play into a feature film.
First role
In 1996, Krusiec joined Travelers on the Discovery Channel as one of six travel reporters who roamed the globe. During her time on that series, she visited more than 50 locations.
Early training
Krusiec earned a B.A. in theater from Virginia Tech. She also attended the University of Oxford, where she studied Shakespeare and women's literature on a scholarship.
