Maurice Marsac
Biography
Maurice Marsac was a French actor who appeared in more than 150 American films and television shows between 1943 and 1987. Born in La Croix-Valmer in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, he settled in Southern California and typically played small character roles, often comic waiters or maitre d's. Such parts came his way in The Razor's Edge (1946, uncredited), Herbie Rides Again (1974), and The Jerk (1979), and he also appeared in episodes of I Love Lucy, Hazel, Columbo, Wonder Woman, Soap, The Fall Guy, and L.A. Law. He portrayed Nicodemus in King of Kings, a 1961 biblical epic, and in the early 1960s he starred in the Italian film Werewolf in a Girls' Dormitory (1961) and the Spanish film Perro golfo (1963). A nationally ranked croquet player, he was among the top 25 Americans in 1986.
