Lloyd Gough
Biography
Lloyd Gough was an American actor who worked in theater, film, and television and was known as a character actor. He was born Michael Gough in New York City and took on supporting roles. In the 1952 western Rancho Notorious he played the main villain, although the credits did not carry his name. His television work in 1966 included a Perry Mason episode, The Case of the Scarlet Scandal, where he was Richard Bayler. The same year he played Jacob Beamus, an open-minded fur hunter, in the Gunsmoke story The Treasure of John Walking Fox. From 1966 to 1967 he was Mike Axford, a reporter for the Daily Sentinel, on The Green Hornet. An episode of Mannix called Turn Every Stone featured him as Senator Miniver. Later he appeared in The Front (1976). He died in 1984.
