Helen Westcott
Biography
Helen Westcott was an American actress of stage and screen who began performing as a child. Born in Los Angeles, she joined her mother in vaudeville at age two and later spent nine years playing the daughter in a Los Angeles stage production of The Drunkard. She appeared in short films as a young child before taking a role in Thunder Over Texas at five. Westcott was best known for playing opposite Gregory Peck in the western The Gunfighter (1950), and she also drew notice for Charles Lamont's comedy horror Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1953). In the late 1950s she shifted toward television, appearing on Perry Mason in 1958 as the murderer Marcia Greeley and making guest appearances on Bonanza, The Twilight Zone and Wanted Dead Or Alive. Her later work included Anthony Mann's God's Little Acre (1958) and a return to the stage.
