Biography

Daniel Hugh Kelly, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, is an actor whose work has moved between theater, television and film. He studied at St. Vincent College and pursued a Master of Fine Arts. He toured with the National Players and worked in Off-Broadway and regional theater. On Broadway he appeared in Born Yesterday in 1989 and in 1990 took a role in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He played Senator Frank Ryan on Ryan's Hope from 1978 to 1981. He became well known as the ex-con Mark Skid McCormick on the ABC crime drama Hardcastle and McCormick from 1983 to 1986. His other series included I Married Dora, Chicago Story, Ponderosa, Second Noah, and The 100 Lives of Blackjack Savage, which he co-produced. His television movies included The Tuskegee Airmen and Citizen Cohn, and his films included Star Trek: Insurrection (1998), Cujo (1983), The Good Son (1993), Bad Company (1995), and The In Crowd (2000).
