Plot summary
Meghan Doherty measures her days in deals closed, with her mother and friends left waiting. After she lands one worth millions, her boss, Mr. Randolph Whitaker, hands her what he calls the deal of a lifetime: a hundred-million-dollar prospect out in the Mojave Desert. The land, God's Country, is in foreclosure and belongs to Eden Graham, a preacher who oversees a youth camp on the property and lives there with his wife, Carolyn, and their son, Jake. Meghan has to get him to turn it over before the auction. She arrives in a Ferrari and designer clothes, out of place, and Eden talks her into staying a week, promising to sign the land away if the camp fails to convince her of its worth.
