Plot summary
Nearly a decade ago, a tragic accident killed a young man, the brother of Amanda and the closest friend of David, and the loss turned the small town they both came from upside down. David has returned to that small town, trying to sort through the decisions he has to make before he can begin the next part of his life. Amanda stayed. She has been unable to move forward as well, though for reasons of her own that are entirely different from his. Her parents' grief presses on her, and the stigma of the tragedy still clings to her.
