Aden Young
Biography
Aden Young is a Canadian-Australian actor who was born in Toronto and moved to Australia with his family as a child, later training at the Australian Theatre for Young People. His first screen role came in Bruce Beresford's Black Robe (1991), and he went on to leading parts in Australian films including Metal Skin, which brought him a best actor prize from the Film Critics Circle of Australia as well as an Australian Film Institute nomination. He appeared in Cosi (1996), Paradise Road (1997), Cousin Bette (1998) and The War Bride (2001), then in Beneath Hill 60 (2010), The Tree (2010), Mao's Last Dancer (2009), Killer Elite (2011) and I, Frankenstein (2014). He is best known for playing Daniel Holden in the SundanceTV drama Rectify, earning two Critics' Choice Television Award nominations, and since 2024 he has led Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent.
