Plot summary
In Egypt, Prof. Hayden Masterton assembles a multinational expedition to a pyramid, where an event that comes only once every 5,000 years is due. He needs a key held by a local dealer, a key he believes will awaken what lies hidden inside the stone. The deal goes wrong: Peter Levitz, a treasure hunter, kills the dealer with Masterton's own walking stick, takes the key, and then insists on joining the expedition. Masterton has no choice but to bring him. Doug Adler, a young archaeological apprentice, is drawn into the group. Once inside the pyramid, the team meets deadly traps and ancient monsters.
