Shane Richie

Shane Richie is a British actor, comedian, presenter and singer who started out in his teens at a Pontins holiday camp on the Isle of Wight before moving into live stand-up, where he was nominated for best new stand-up at the first British Comedy Awards. He went on to host game shows such as Run the Risk, Lucky Numbers and Win, Lose or Draw, and he appeared in musicals including Boogie Nights and a 1993 London revival of Grease. In 2002 he joined EastEnders as Alfie Moon, a part that brought him a Best Male European Actor award at the Rose d'Or festival and a National Television Award in 2005, and he later played the character again in the spin-off Redwater in 2017. His film work includes playing Sid, a rat, in the Aardman Animation film Flushed Away (2006), and he produced and starred in Shoreditch. He toured as Randle McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
