Billy Eichner

Biography

Billy Eichner is an American performer whose work includes comedy, acting, singing, screenwriting, and hosting television shows. He grew up in Queens and studied theater at Northwestern University. His early stage show Creation Nation: A Live Talk Show, which he hosted and wrote, drew critical praise. Eichner created and starred in Billy on the Street, a game show in which he roams New York City asking pedestrians trivia questions, often with celebrities; it aired on Fuse, then truTV, and later had short digital episodes with Lyft. On television he played Craig Middlebrooks on Parks and Recreation, starred opposite Julie Klausner in Difficult People, and took recurring roles on American Horror Story and Friends from College. He voiced Timon in The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa: The Lion King (2024), and wrote and starred in Bros (2022), which critics received well though it did not do well at the box office.
