Plot summary
In a private gallery, a curator unveils three paintings. The first shows a family graveyard, and Jeremy Evans, who murders his wealthy uncle to inherit the estate, watches a fresh grave and then a coffin appear on the canvas. The second is a portrait of Claudia Menlo, a blind woman who pays a gambler for his eyes and blackmails Dr. Frank Heatherton into performing the surgery, though he warns her that the sight will last about eleven hours. The third follows Joseph Strobe, a former SS officer hiding in South America from the authorities and from his nightmares, who takes refuge in a museum and stands before a painting of a fisherman.

- When Joan Crawford learned that the young Steven Spielberg would be directing her, she called Sid Sheinberg, then vice president of production for Universal Television, to demand he be replaced by someone more experienced, but Sheinberg talked her into giving Spielberg a chance.
- The "Eyes" segment of Night Gallery was the directorial debut of 22-year-old Steven Spielberg and one of the last acting performances by Joan Crawford.
