Steven Spielberg Movies: Where to Watch

The Steven Spielberg movies in our catalogue, best known first, and which of them are on Netflix in the United States today.

Steven Spielberg, with posters of Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List and Catch Me If You Can

Steven Spielberg directed every film here, and the range between them is the first thing to notice. Jurassic Park fills an adventure with living dinosaurs. Schindler's List takes Oskar Schindler to Kraków to make his fortune and gives the story the weight of history. One is built to thrill a crowd, the other asks for patience and pays it back. What the two share is a camera that stays close to a person with a problem to solve and not much time to solve it.

The order runs newest first through the whole filmography, and a title did not need to be on Netflix in the United States to be included. Only some of these films are on Netflix in the United States today.

Start with Jaws, which is on Netflix in the United States now. A great white shark works the water off a summer island, and the police chief, played by Roy Scheider, wants the beaches shut. Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss fill out the cast, and the mayor wants them open because the summer season is the town's livelihood. Tom Hanks leads Saving Private Ryan as Captain John H. Miller. His squad crosses Normandy to bring one private home after three brothers from the same family are lost in action. Catch Me If You Can sets Leonardo DiCaprio running as a sixteen-year-old who passes forged Pan Am checks as a pilot, with Tom Hanks as the FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, on the case.
