Plot summary
Rob Anderson works as a substitute teacher and has been offered a full-time job he has not agreed to take. He and his fiancée, the physician Megan Swope, have flown to Charleston, South Carolina, where their wedding is set for the next day. Megan's father, the businessman Reginald, disapproves of Rob and has invited Cody, her accomplished former boyfriend. Rob spends the night out with Benny, his best man. He wakes on his wedding morning without any clothes inside a hotel elevator, a long way from the church. Police arrest him for streaking, and the ringing of the church bells sends him back an hour, to the elevator, to live that same hour over.
