Getting ready for a role
On Full House, Stamos wanted his character's surname switched from Cochran to Katsopolis, a nod to his Greek roots, according to Jeff Franklin, the show's creator and executive producer.
A change of course
Stamos began learning to play drums at age four. He later took up the guitar and formed his own band, Destiny, which performed at parties and some amusement parks.
Behind the camera
Stamos directed the music video for Diamond Carter's "Let Yourself be Loved" in 2014 and was credited as a co-writer of the song with Michael Gigante.
Beyond film
Stamos took the lead vocal on a 1992 remake of "Forever" for the album Summer in Paradise. Beach Boy Dennis Wilson wrote and sang the original, which came out in 1970.
