Plot summary
Margo, Kelly, and Cece share an apartment in Los Angeles, where they spend their nights in the city's clubs. By day Margo works in telemarketing, Cece loses her job at a department store, and Kelly sells pets, something her looks help her do. On Friday evening, as the three get ready to go out, Margo and Cece find that Kelly has driven off in Margo's car to meet the DJ she is infatuated with downtown. Kelly's blind date arrives to pick her up: Clifford, a bookish customer from the pet store. Margo and Cece take a ride with him toward the club where the DJ works. There the rock star Bruno X appears, and Cece works to catch his attention.
