Plot summary
Fifteen years ago, an infant was left at a church. Audrey Stewart and her wife Carrie Stewart adopted the boy and raised him as their son. He is Brian Stewart, fifteen years old now. A private investigator arrives with news the couple never expected: Brian's biological grandparents want to find their grandchild and bring him up themselves. Audrey is forced to explain how the adoption came about, and its origins have stayed murky. The grandparents' claim threatens the family she and Carrie have built, and the two are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep their family together.
