Bruce Spielbauer

Bruce Spielbauer is an actor from Cedar Rapids, Iowa who was raised in Dallas, Texas, and he began performing at 14. For his first 20 years he worked only on stage, and he spent seven seasons as a full-time member of a professional dinner theater company. He then turned to film and television, taking leading and supporting parts in low-budget independent features such as Frankenstein: Day of the Beast (2011) and playing Lyle in Yellow Hill, his first Western, opposite Bai Ling. His stage credits number more than 100 productions, with roles including Gandalf in The Hobbit (2011) and Mr. Borden in Axe Lizzie (2010), plus John Proctor in The Crucible, Rooster in Annie and Cornelius Hackel in Hello, Dolly!. He has also done extra and stand-in work, among them a brief appearance in The Dark Knight.
