Plot summary
Damien Sachs is a wealthy, chauvinistic executive at the advertising agency Atlas, which is pitching for a Guinness stout campaign aimed at women. When the client complains that the agency has no women in power, Damien invents a female creative director he says was recently promoted. His boss Fred, who is considering Damien as his successor, is pleased. Damien has his assistant Ruby find a woman to make the claim true, and Alex Fox, a single mother and 20-year employee who is repeatedly passed over, is promoted into the role. Fed up, Alex quits. Damien follows her outside and, listing what he considers women's failings, strikes his head. He wakes to find the world transformed into a matriarchy, and the Pigeon Man tells him that becoming Atlas's chief executive is the way back.
