Plot summary
When the Civil War begins, seven young men from Concho County, Texas, leave home to join the Confederate army. Buck Burnett leads them, and Miller Nalls, Todo McLean, J.C. Sutton, Eubie Bell, Little Bit Lucket and Willie Bill Bearden ride with him. They call themselves the Concho County Comanches. They head for Shiloh, Tennessee. A major battle is about to be fought there, and they mean to be in it. Along the way the group meets many perilous adventures.
