Biography

Paul Petersen is an American actor, singer and novelist born in Glendale in 1945. He began performing at age ten as a Mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club, then appeared in Houseboat (1958) and became widely known as teenager Jeff Stone on The Donna Reed Show, which ran on ABC from 1958 to 1966. In 1997 he received the Young Artist Foundation's Former Child Star Lifetime Achievement Award for that role. Petersen also pursued music in the 1960s, recording singles such as My Dad, a song he performed on the sitcom that peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1962. His later screen work included Tony Biddle in The Happiest Millionaire (1967), guest appearances on Custer and F Troop, a recurring role on Matt Houston, and playing author Paul Conway in Mommy's Day. After his early acting career, he attended college, wrote 16 adventure novels, and published an autobiography in 1977.
